The week before heading off to California, I spoke at the Seminole Chamber of Commerce on social media marketing. I shared why every small business needs to implement a social media strategy as part of their marketing plan. I also discussed the benefits of my Hub Socializer System (which is a simplified system of social media marketing strategies and tools for business success).
I attended Joel Bauer’s conference in Woodland Hills, California and while there I met Jim Waide – International author and expert Skier, Surfer and Snowboarder. I had the opportunity to ski with him at Big Bear Mountain – Snow Summit. I hadn’t been on skis in 10 years, but I used to teach skiing in Colorado at Arapahoe Basin in the 1970’s. My son said “Mom, it’s just like riding a bike – it will all come back to you when you put the skis on.” And he was right, it was wonderful to ski again – lots of fun.

I also attended a Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce Networking Luncheon. It was nice to see what they were doing to collaborate and grow their businesses. I was able to get a picture with Gil Acosta – he handles Membership Sales for the Costa Mesa Chamber.

It was great to be in the audience as Chris Krimitsos interviewed, my friend, Shawna Vercher at The Wealth Building Annex (TWBA) this month. She shared her incredible life journey with us and where her career was heading now – politics and media. I was delighted to see Shawna again and give her an autographed copy of my book, Stepping Stones to Success.

The founders of College Hunks Hauling Junk were interviewed at The Wealth Building Annex (TWBA) this month. It was a lively and fun evening as they shared many stories of the early days of launching their business and then becoming a national franchise. It was a great event.
I was interviewed by Chuck Palm on the Tampa Bay Chronicles show today. IPN is an Internet Broadcasting Network and during the interview with Chuck, I discussed Social Media, my Hub Socializer system, marketing online and my book, ‘Stepping Stones to Success’.
It was a fun interview and Chuck even took a call, while we were in the midst of the show, from his Mother in Chicago making sure she was okay with the big winter snow storm.

I was one of the Social Media Subject Matter Experts at the Crew of Tampa Bay luncheon on February 2nd and I also was representing DEVO Consulting at the event.
They had a few speakers at the event covering Linkedin, Facebook, the Internet from 10,000 feet and QR Codes.
The most valuable tip for me was that in Facebook you don’t need a personal page in order to have a Business Page. That’s a big change and will help businesses create a Facebook presence without having to login through an executive’s personal page.
